PDO threads are made up of a material called Polydioxanone, which is an absorbable polymer that is flexible and durable. The Matrix PDO threads work by activating your own body’s collagen synthesis for a gradual skin tightening and skin rejuvenation. Results may be seen in 6 weeks and will continue to improve over 2 to 6 months. While the threads slowly dissolve, their effects may last up to 12 months.

How does PDO thread tightening work?Matrix PDO threads induce production of collagen creating a tightening effect for 3-12 months after your procedure. The threads become a support structure for your face allowing natural collagen production to take place. | What happens during a PDO thread treatment?Matrix PDO threads are a minimally invasive treatment and do not involve any incision or stitches. 30 minutes before beginning your treatment, a topical anaesthetic will be applied to the skin. Once the area is sufficiently numb, the threads will then be inserted into the skin using a micro-needle or cannula in a mesh-like pattern to achieve maximum tightening effects. | When will I see results with PDO thread treatment?You will begin to see results in 6 weeks which continue to improve over the next 2- 6 months as new collagen is produced.
